Support Engineer

Qualifications/Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years of development experience.
  • Computer Science or Engineering degrees or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Customer facing experience is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting in Windows, Linux, and Mac environments is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of web standards & technologies, network and certificate troubleshooting, experience with RDBMS, distributed cloud architectures, and web and server development is a plus. Required experience : Java, C++
  • Nice to have some of the following languages, systems, and frameworks is a plus:, Spring, Tomcat, Apache/httpd, Nginx, JMS, ActiveMQ, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, InfluxDB, Elastic Search, Memcached, Redis, AngularJS, React, Github, SVN.
  • Experience in the fields of integrations/IaaS, SaaS/PaaS, CRM, CPQ, API, IoT is a plus.
  • Remote work experience is a plu
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with support, engineering, and other product teams, as well as exercise independent judgment and discretion in overall issue resolutions by prioritizing, planning, tracking, and properly communicating engineering escalations
  • Research, attempt to replicate, and provide immediate guidance and workarounds for major issues.
  • Consult with internal departments to identify customer needs to include into resolution objectives.
  • Research development options and provide analysis for product direction; advise on and/or implement product changes in line with the engineering team’s standard software practices.
  • Provide guidance on related documentation.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
