Columbia Business School (CBS) is the business school of Columbia University in Manhattan, New York City.

It was established in 1916 to provide business training and professional preparation for undergraduate and graduate Columbia University students.

It is one of six Ivy League business schools and its admission process is among the most selective of top business schools.

Columbia Business School is known for its close ties to Wall Street and the seminal work completed in the field of Finance by professors Benjamin Graham and David Dodd.It is affiliated with 13 winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics including current professors Robert Mundell, Joseph Stiglitz and Edmund Phelps. The school has an international emphasis, and many alumni have achieved distinction in the public as well as the private sector.

  • CBS needed to provide their student population the ability to have their course schedule updated in their school issued email system and calendar upon making changes to their class schedules
  • Needed to leverage Microsoft Exchange webservices API and Campus Management Systems API
  • Needed to integrate with LDAP in order to obtain and vet credentials in order to update relevant student account information

  • Developed uni directional integration between Campus Management System and Microsoft Exchange
  • Retrieved LDAP credentials, extracted course schedule data from Campus Management System, and uploaded information to Microsoft Exchange
